From domain expert to Forward Deployed Engineer in 3 days
Learn to use AI across the full software development life cycle, on a workflow from your own domain. Hands-on, selection-based, limited seats.
What is a Forward Deployed Engineer?
Someone with domain expertise who understands AI tools and can sit with a customer, get to the real problem, and build the fix. FDEs are embedded in customer teams on transformation journeys, compressing what used to take months of hand-offs into weeks.
Eligibility
- 3–10 years in a domain such as healthcare, banking, retail, finance or insurance
- Strong understanding of a specific domain or sub-domain
- One end-to-end workflow from your domain to submit, with a typical user problem in it
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Domain expertise
Deep knowledge of how a specific industry really works.
AI fluency
Knows which AI tools to use across the SDLC, and how.
Customer proximity
Embedded with the customer, solving real problems in real time.
The 3-day journey
Understand requirements, design, code, test and deliver, with AI at every step.
Field training
From "how does my work actually get done?" to a digital colleague you can trust.
- Spot where judgment livesSeparate the rules your workflow follows from the judgment calls only people can make.
- Specify your digital colleagueChoose the right model, tools, memory and RAG setup for the job.
- Why it forgets and how to handle itThe agent loop, memory types, RAG and vector search.
- Write requirements AI can build fromContext and prompt engineering that turn intent into buildable requirements.
- Design controls and sign-offsHarness, guardrails and human approval points so you stay in control.
- Let us build nowA live demo from requirement to code to test to debug, then the same loop on your workflow.
- Will it work in the real world?Latency, hallucination, security and fault tolerance, with a production-readiness checklist.
Build and deliver
Learning by doing: from a requirement to a working software feature.
- Environment setupReceive a computing environment provided by the organisers.
- Feature assignmentReceive a defined feature or problem to develop.
- Requirements and solution designGather AI-enabled system needs; define the agent architecture and guardrails.
- Coding, testing and debuggingImplement with AI-enabled IDEs, validate and fix issues.
Complete, challenge and apply
Finish the build, review what you learned, then put it to the test.
- Complete the buildFinish residual work from Day 2, finalise and deliver the feature, review the process.
- FDE HackathonA new feature, a requirement document and a defined environment. Build and deliver it as quickly and effectively as you can. Top performer wins ₹10,000.
Software, not just a certificate
- A working prototype that applies AI across the SDLC, ready to develop further in your own environment
- Hands-on experience across the full software development life cycle
- Practical knowledge of agentic architecture, context, RAG, guardrails and AI coding tools
- Experience taking a requirement through to a working feature
- The confidence to apply these techniques at work
Practice, not borrowed theory
- 25+ years in US healthcare IT
- Has personally turned technical and non-technical engineers into Forward Deployed Engineers
- Led teams from waterfall to agile to PODs to agentic software development
- Designed and implemented the agentic SDLC that a large enterprise software organisation runs on every day
- Has built and run AI training programmes for staff and institutions

The FDE journey
The Basic Boot Camp is the foundation. Together with the planned Advanced FDE Program, it provides the depth and practical exposure to become an effective Forward Deployed Engineer. Some candidates may also be offered roles on projects Minocha Praxis takes on.
Four steps to your seat
- RegisterSubmit one workflow from your domain and a real problem in it.
- ReviewWe review your submission within 24 hours.
- PaySelected candidates receive a payment link.
- ConfirmedYour seat is locked for Nov 26–28.
Selection is based on domain knowledge, clarity of thought, problem understanding and communication.
Frequently asked
Do I need to know how to code?
No. AI-enabled tools handle much of the code. What you need is deep knowledge of your domain and the ability to define the problem clearly; the boot camp teaches you how to direct AI across the rest of the cycle.
What should I bring?
Your laptop and charger, and the workflow you submitted at registration. The compute environment, lunch and evening tea are provided.
Can my company pay for my seat?
Yes. We can invoice your company directly, and we also run private cohorts for teams. Email us for details.
What if the dates change?
If the programme dates change, you'll be offered the new dates or a full refund.
It starts with the right question.
